Years 7-9 are offered a broad curriculum including languages, drama, music, design and food technology. Our inspirational setting provides the perfect location for team and individual sports, together with our annual festivals and events celebrating the college campus. Physical education is recognised as a key activity for good physical and mental health; Stoke College students take part in PE lessons enhancing sporting skills and ability, with games lessons and match fixtures in rugby, hockey, netball, football, cricket and more. The curriculum is further enhanced by our unique diploma programmes: the Stoke College Diploma in Character and Resilience (years 7-11) and the Stoke College Diploma in Global Competencies (years 12 and 13). Both diplomas have been professionally devised to develop leadership and teamwork skills, humour and integrity, resilience and perseverance.
“We are proud that students across the academic spectrum exceed national expectations”
The Stoke College Diploma can equate to one whole A-level in UCAS terms. The geographical location of Stoke College means it is within easy reach of Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Braintree and Saffron Walden. We recognise the needs of busy families and offer five bus routes to ensure that your time is not spent sitting in commuter traffic. Bus travellers have the option to enjoy breakfast at school too, if needed. We also offer day boarding for families who require wrap-around care (from 7am to 9pm). Boarding at Stoke College is a happy and exciting experience. Our small
boarding houses offer students the care of expert staff in a home-from-home environment. Boarders get dedicated time and space to study and relax while interacting with their school peers. At weekends, boarders are taken on trips to historical, cultural and fun destinations. Stoke College celebrates its historical past while navigating students towards a global future. We offer open events and guest student days throughout the year. To arrange a visit and the opportunity to meet with our principal, Dr Gareth Lloyd, please contact our admissions email address: admissions@stokecollege.co.uk
