FEED was a sponsor of this year’s NAB 4K 4Charity run at Las Vegas’s Sunset Park, hosted annually by AWS. Despite an unseasonably harsh wind filling runners’ eyes with desert sand, the turnout was the biggest yet for the event, and raised $68,000 for Girls Who Code, an international non-profit organisation which teaches girls “computer science, bravery, and sisterhood”. The FEED team turned out in force, in bright yellow (highly collectible) FEED 4K 4Charity t-shirts, with a world-class determination to get through the whole 4K with our dignity intact. A good time was had by all. Others sponsors included Arc Publishing, Bitmovin, Brightcove, Dolby Laboratories, Eluvio, Irdeto, Leyard and Planar, Raz Public Relations, Sports Video Group, Verimatrix, Vidispine, Wall Street Communications and Zappos. The next 4K 4Charity run will be held at the IBC show in Amsterdam on 14 September. 4K 4CHARITY
