Alongside the return of NAB Show came some new and exciting interactive projects. Among the 50,000 media and broadcasting professionals present in Las Vegas, a few convened to hash out ideas at the NABiQ challenge
side from the general amazement of being at a face-to-face event for the first
time in years, it was important to take in the trade show’s fresh lick of paint since the last time it was in town. Besides the obvious – the shiny, new West Hall – it was hard to miss the smattering of banners dubbed ‘experiential zones’ around the show, labelled ‘create,’ ‘connect’ and ‘capitalise.’ These came under the umbrella of a collaborative networking series hosted by the show, called NABiQ. And we at FEED were proud to be official media partners. From production managers to video engineers and data analysts, via content creators and directors, participants came together over the duration of the show, deliberating on key issues the industry is currently facing. Leveraging hybrid workflows, imagining agile innovation hubs – or creating the streaming platform of the future. These were all points of discussion for teams of like-minded people, formulating ideas through a user-centric lens, and traversing a design thinking process that resulted in
a solution pitch. All of which took place in less than 60 minutes! Drawing on their experiences and industry insights – as well as NAB Show inspiration – the attendants were broken up into individual groups. It was there that they brainstormed ideas and
