Built specifically for photographers,
Eizo’s ColorEdge range is split into CS and CG models. The CG units are built for professional photographers and moviemakers, and while the CS range is aimed at serious amateurs, it retains many of the top- end features, as well as being more affordable. Brand new to the line is the CS2740, a 27in screen, with a 4K 3840x2160 resolution. It uses a 10-bit flicker-free LCD panel, 16- bit look-up table (LUT) for smoother gradations and
covers 99%Adobe RGB gamut and 100% sRGB. There are lots of connection options including the usual HDMI and USB A, and DisplayPort, and also USB
accuracy. The flicker-free LED backlight and 178° vertical and horizontal viewing angle combine with a matte anti-glare surface to make viewing easy. Connection is simple via an HDMI port, and it offers a decent amount of adjustment in height, tilt, swing and pivot. It also features a headphone jack, two USB ports and an integrated SD card reader.
the SpyderX Pro takes only a minute or two to complete, so it can fit easily into your workflow, making calibration less of a chore. The SpyderX Pro offers automatic profile changing, room- light monitoring and correction of highlight and shadow details, and white-balance control. The device also makes
it easier to work across multiple monitors, which many photographers like to do to give themselves more space and better organisation. The SpyderX Pro comes complete with everything you need and it can be easily stored in its box. To get started, there’s a handy link to online demos, too.
C connectivity, which brings it into line with
most new PCs, Macs and other devices. Handling is excellent, too, with 178º viewing angle, height, tilt, and swivel adjustment, as well as a portrait mode for upright viewing.

The Expression ET-7750 Eco Tank is one of Epson’s stand out models, packing in great print quality, easy handling and some innovative features designed to make it cheaper to run. It’ll give you borderless prints up to A3 and double- sided printing, and uses a five-ink system, which includes photo black for rich, lab-quality looking results. Its tanks are placed at the front of the unit, so they’re easy to access. They’re long lasting and should print up to 3400 10x15cm images from a full set, but can also be refilled, hence the Eco part of the name. Set-up and control are easy via the 2.7in LCD screen, and you can print via SD card, USB or over Wi-Fi from laptops or mobile devices. Plus, you get a scanner and copier in the same unit.
resin-coated gloss paper, which delivers lively contrast and rich colour saturation. The paper has a shiny metallic finish and is definitely more silvery looking than a regular pearlescent surface, while the 300gsm weight gives the material a lovely feel and it lies very flat after printing. It’s suitable for all sorts of images, and particularly well combined with high-contrast monochrome work, with superb detail in the tonal highlights and greys. Its high-gloss finish and wide colour gamut and high D-max rating also makes it a stand out choice for vibrantly coloured images. It comes in packs of 25 sheets of A4, A3, A3+ and A2, and in 30m rolls for 17in, 24in, 44in and 60in sizes. Small format packs of 100 6x4in and 7x5in sheets are also available.
sustainability with the high-quality finish you’d expect from a traditional name. Using bamboo, hemp and agave crops, which offer rapid growth and don’t require pesticides, there’s less impact on the environment, and the papers gain a distinctive look and feel. Bamboo has a warm tone and light texture, hemp is a slightly textured bright white and agave combines a bright white base with a more textural surface. The papers are all 290gsm, are made without optical brighteners, and are acid and lignin free, giving very good print permanence. Each is available in 25-sheet packs in A4, A3, A3+, and A2 sizes as well as rolls up to 50in wide.
Make a statement with your work with One Vision Imaging’s catalogue of superb products. One of our favourites is the Quartz Acrylic wall art, which makes a striking statement whether it’s hung at home or in a gallery. After uploading your image and selecting some parameters, prints are made using a high-quality single Fujifilm DP II photographic print and sealed between two clear sheets of crystal-grade acrylic measuring 2mm at the front and 12mm at the back. The overall thickness is a sturdy 14mm and comes with a high-gloss finish. The wall art is supplied with an acrylic baton to hang on the wall safely.
