hours off to rest and catch some sleep, while others – perhaps those who live in reasonable travelling distance from the capital – do the afternoon and the following morning. Essentially, it is up to the individual photographer to enjoy Photo 24 however they wish. If you’re worried about attending alone, a buddy system will be in place: meet up with fellow readers, who can help you out. We’ll have themed photo contests for shots taken on Photo 24, with an entry deadline after the event to allow for editing time. In addition, there’s a Super 24 Challenge, with shooting themes announced on the hour using social media – a sort of virtual Photo 24. Themes are designed to get the grey matter working, but we’ll throw in few less testing ones, too. At the closing event, which takes place at 12 noon on 26 June, everyone in attendance is presented with a souvenir T-shirt – and the winner of the Super 24 Challenge is announced. If you love the idea of Photo 24, but can’t travel to London or don’t get a place via the ballot, we’ll be

giving readers everywhere a chance to get involved in our Super 24 Challenge, by announcing subject themes on social media. These will be exactly the same as those for live Photo 24 attendees – and relevant to most urban locations. Also look out for a separate competition: all submitted images from virtual Photo 24 attendees will be judged by the PN team, with prizes for the best. There’s no limit on how many readers can get involved in the virtual event – the more the merrier! Further details of Photo 24 will be announced in forthcoming issues of PN , on the website and our podcast. Meanwhile, please go to the website and apply for a place. photographynews.co.uk
