It’s not only more powerful, but has a more professional-feeling build quality that should take the knocks over years of use. The basic kit comes with a mains power supply and diffuser dome, but the light is V-Lock compatible for location use. The fixture has two 1/4in-20 threads, so you can fit the AEOS 2 directly onto a lighting stand. For better handling, the optional £75/$TBA yoke is worth it, as it’s so much easier to angle the light around.

The 1.4kg/3.09lb AEOS 2 is a 295x25mm/11.6x0.99in unit, housing 108 LEDs that put out up to 11,500 lux at one metre, with a CRI of 95, TLCI of 99 and a 50° beam angle. The included diffuser does a great job of providing softer light, with minimal power loss. A softbox is available at £109/$TBA for even more diffused output.
