It's an impressive achievement for a company that's only six years old. Founded in 2012, FACEIT was originally – and remains – a platform for gaming, providing matchmaking services and servers, as well as esports competitions. Andrew Lane, the company's technical broadcast manager, with responsibility for the production of the event, describes how the media production side of the business grew organically from the gaming platform: “The media team was spun out of the platform team as a way to promote the platform a bit.
