SWIT CAMERA TRANSMITTER USER REVIEW

SPONSORED BY

IN USE The advice was to keep the aerials pointed upwards but as the units are pretty compact they didn’t really get in the way or weigh too much with that form factor. The units are very rugged and feel like they would stand up to some hard use which was good for us with our outdoor shoot. We had to be very mobile and had the Dragon on a Ready Rig which is similar to an Easy Rig. The signal that we were getting out of it was fantastic with hardly any latency. With some other wireless models that we have used you can lose a bit of quality as it gets transmitted. But this one was perfect, with HD images appearing on our HD monitor. As we were doing

are just pairing the two together. It was also great to know that you can pair another four receivers to the one transmitter, this makes it a lot more helpful when you have different monitor needs. Out of the box it was already paired but in practice it’s still a very quick and easy operation. We powered the transmitter from the VLOCK plate and the receiver from an LP battery on the back of the unit. Both were mounted via magic arms on the camera and ATOMOS. We actually found that the battery life was incredible; we ran throughout the whole day from 10am all the way through to 6pm, and also went to three or four locations during the day, and we still only used two batteries for the whole thing.
