[ BEST IN SHOW ] IBC 2026 DISCOVERIES
[ POLE POSITION ] CELEBRATING CINEMATOGRAPHY P oland’s feted celebration of cinematography, CAMERIMAGE (rebranded this year as ToruńCAMERIMAGE; a nod to its hometown), is back from 7 to 14 November with a rich line-up of films, speakers, seminars and stands showcasing the latest production technologies. The competition returns with a line-up of feature films with exceptional cinematography, crowning the winner with a coveted Golden Frog Award, while there are also contests for Film and Art School Etudes, Polish Feature Films, the Directors’ Debuts Competition and the Cinematographers’ Debuts Competition, plus Music Videos, TV Series, Documentary Shorts and Documentaries. There’s also a mini expo – the ToruńCAMERIMAGE Market – where top brands will showcase their wares, as well as plenty of hands-on sessions and discussions to attend.
Godox MG6KR A significant step up in output for Godox was revealed at IBC with the prototype MG6KR, its brightest full-colour fixture to date. Drawing 5100W and delivering claimed 6K HMI-equivalent output, it offers 2500- 10,000K CCT adjustment and a 110° beam, with 15° and 25° reflectors available for more focused output. Sony RIALTO 65 An expansion of Sony’s VENICE 2 platform is coming with RIALTO 65, a new 65mm-format sensor block planned for release in early 2027. With a 9.6K 3:2 open gate sensor offering around 2.2 times the light-receiving area of full-frame, it promises large format imaging for the existing VENICE 2 ecosystem.
HONOR Robot Phone An interesting move for ARRI into the content creator market with the launch of the HONOR Robot Phone, introducing ARRI image science into a consumer device for the first time. ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks bring greater creative control and imaging consistency to mobile capture.
Adobe AI Tools for Premiere & After Effects
Adobe has added a range of generative AI tools directly into Premiere and After Effects, giving editors more creative control without leaving their editing software. Generative Media Tool can create video and sound effects within the timeline, while new AI audio tools and an AI Assistant in After Effects help streamline editing, sound design and complex project workflows.
Atomos Shogun AV-19M Atomos expands its professional monitoring range with the Shogun AV-19M, a new 19-inch 4K HDR display combining NDI, SDI and HDMI in a single rackmount monitor. Its NDI HX3 support allows up to four network sources to be viewed simultaneously, bringing IP- based monitoring alongside traditional broadcast workflows. DZOFILM Arles Zooms DZOFILM revealed an expansion of its Arles cinema lens range with two new full-frame zooms, the 25-75mm and 65-180mm T2.6. Designed to match the existing Arles primes in handling, colour and mechanics, the matched pair offer a constant T2.6 aperture, overlapping focal ranges and a lightweight design at around 1.8kg per lens.
Creamsource C3 fresnel An interesting move into high-output fresnel lighting for Creamsource with the launch of the C3, its new 3000W full-colour LED fresnel. Its fixed square lens and BCGLARD colour engine deliver a controllable 18-60° beam with over 92% Rec 2020 coverage.
