‘Culture, creativity and commerce’ on display at NAB New York A fter an energetic outing in Vegas in the spring, NAB Show is back for its New York expo from 8 to 10 October. Thousands of M&E professionals are expected to attend, with the organisers touting AI, virtual production, FAST and the creator economy as some of this year’s hot-button topics. Highlights of the schedule include Post-Production World New York, a training conference for editors, producers, motion graphics specialists and other production and post-production pros. There are also talks from leading figures such as broadcast veteran Valari Dobson Staab (chairman of NBCUniversal Local), Michael Hayes (president of Hearst Television) and Rafi Mamalian, a trailblazer in the integration of AI and digital video. On the show floor, you can expect stands from Fujifilm, Brainstorm, Symply and more, while networking opportunities include the mixers and careers fair.
