easy-to-use, compact, lightweight unit with a rechargeable battery. Any Nanlite fixture with built-in 2.4GHz is compatible with the transmitter, including the PavoTube 30C and 15C, Forza 500 and MixPanel 150 and 60, among others. The app gives simple control of colour temperature, fine-tune dimming, HSI and CCT, as well as special effects. It also allows you to create repeatable scenes, presets, and control lights in groups. You can even use the camera on your mobile phone to take a photo, then pick a colour from the image to instantly send to RGB lights. It brings all your legacy Nanlite LEDs bang up to date. With a built-in 2400mAh battery, it can run for ten hours. The USB-C port accommodates future firmware updates, but lets you charge the device with a power bank if you need to go for longer. This lets you control multiple lights wirelessly with the Nanlink mobile app, regardless of whether they have built-in Bluetooth. That’s a real breath of fresh air from a consumer electronics company, and more planet-friendly. The Nanlink WS-TB-1 Transmitter Box costs just £87/$89 and is an

belt. A ring lets you hang it from a stand, and the included padded case has a belt loop and carabiner. The only issue is that it’s quite fiddly and complicated to set up. But once that’s mastered, is easy to use. Nanlink’s app is decent and not overly complicated – well, as uncomplicated as it can be when configuring very complex lighting settings on several different fixtures all at once. It’s just useful to adjust PavoTubes without having to physically go up to them. If you have invested a lot of cash in several Nanlites, don’t hesitate: buy the Nanlink WS-TB-1. This is a great-value bit of kit that works well and doesn’t take up much room. PRO MOVIEMAKER RATING: 8/10 A must-have for Nanlite owners
