There’s been development in charging solutions, from brands such as Hawk-Woods with its new X-Boxx units, and IDX with Imicro batteries. The Litepanels Gemini 2x1 Hard is a great lighting set-up, while the Manfrotto Move is an effective quick-release system. Schneider-Kreuznach Isco4all lenses bring fresh ideas to optics, providing a set of primes that come with an anamorphic adapter. And the Sony Xperia Pro smartphone is built to be a full-featured monitor for Alpha cameras.
The Pro Moviemaker Gear of the Year Awards celebrate cutting-edge innovation, as well as kit that has withstood the test of time. However, some releases are so recent, they may not have made an impact on the market just yet. These products are worthy of being honoured for their fresh technology, radical ways of working, or maybe just how much of a splash the release made. In our launch of the year class, many of the nominations have ended up being cameras. These are at the very heart of what we do.
