Founded by dynamic duo Heloise and Mike, Bespoke Party Bands specialises in providing the perfect band for any event, from weddings to cocktail nights and corporate events. “We’re already prepping for the festive season,” says Heloise. “We’re excited to provide live music at some fabulous private Christmas parties around Cambridge.” If you’re planning an event or seasonal wedding in December, then now is the time to get in touch and arrange your tailor-made playlist. Bespoke Party Bands will also be curating live music for The Fellows House hotel from 25 November to 23 December. Catch them in The Folio Bar every Friday and Saturday evening – and enjoy a selection of jazz, pop, soul and funk over a cocktail!

The Cambridge Union has welcomed many illustrious guests to its debating chamber over the years. Established in 1815, it is the world’s oldest debating society and has hosted an eclectic range of speakers, from Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt to Dame Judi Dench, Dua Lipa and Clint Eastwood. Add your name to the guest list with a Christmas party that will go down in history. Three packages are available, from more casual affair with light bites in the Keynes Library, to delicious three-course meal in the stunning Fairfax Rhodes Room or iconic debating chamber. Packages include a glass of fizz on arrival, plus exclusive access to the Cellars with DJ, bar and dance floor. Its very own restaurant, The Orator, is offering a Christmas package for those looking for a more laid-back gathering, suitable for groups of up to 22 people.

HORSLEY HALE FARM Tucked away in a woodland oasis in the Fens, Horsley Hale Farm is an idyllic, rural location for your Christmas bash. Its charming onsite bar, The Laughing Alpaca, serves a selection of locally brewed beers and ciders, wines and cocktails. A range of catering options are available, to suit all tastes.
