ust when you thought you had seen pretty much everything an LED light panel can do,
a wider and more even spread that wraps around your subject. Once you’ve had a light with this feature, you won’t want to go back to fiddling with lots of diffusion panels in different strengths. But the Titan X2 is far more than just this one new feature – it’s the firm’s first product to feature a full RGBWW lighting array. This means you can simply dial in any colour you want, from standard correction gels for technical use to bold colours for creative looks. It’s all easily controlled from the new and intuitive touchscreen display on the rear of the unit, one of various remote control options, or even via a forthcoming smartphone app. If you’re old-school, there are also big and obvious anodised knobs you can simply turn to see the effects. Rotolight wades in with its Titan X2 and adds something completely fresh to the mix. The surprising new feature is electronically adjustable diffusion, which also affects the focus and spread of the light – instead of having to use diffusion gels or fix diffusion panels in front of the 2x1ft panel, you simply adjust the diffusion using the rear controls or remote control. The front glass panel of the light magically changes from fully translucent to frosty and opaque, instantly softening the light and making it more flattering for subjects. Altering the SmartSoft diffusion from clear to fully soft also changes the spread and focus of the light to
