Rode’s Wireless Go II mic system has two mics and transmitters, internal recording and an extended wireless range. The £279/$251 transmitters have an integrated, broadcast-quality lav mic built in, as well as the capacity to plug in an external lav. The kit also comes with windjammers that bayonet onto each transmitter mic. There are two transmitters and a receiver, a standard 3.5mm lead for connecting to camera or recorder, USB-C cables for charging, furry windshields and neoprene case.

This works with all cameras using a standard 3.5mm jack. The £289/$329 kit comes with two small transmitters, each with built-in omnidirectional mics. These have internal storage and can record up to 14 hours of audio. They also have inputs for lav mics, so the small transmitters can be hidden and a lav mic plugged in. During normal use, the signal is sent back to the camera-mounted receiver at distances up to 250m.
