Whitewall › whitewall.com

Whitewall is a multiple TIPA World Awards winner, most recently scooping the best photo lab worldwide gong last year. Its collection of printing and presentation services is unmatched, with something for every taste. One of our favourites is its Photo Print Under Acrylic Glass service, which truly shows off your pictures in the best manner. Sizes start from 10x10cm and go all the way up to a massive 180x120cm – with almost every size and format ratio in between. Colour prints are produced on Fujifilm Crystal DP II, while monochrome images are output on Ilford black & white material. Prints are mounted behind exhibition-quality acrylic glass, 2mm or 6mm thick. The print and acrylic glass is supported by a triple-layer aluminium Dibond plate for a sturdy finish; and the edges are sealed by permanently elastic silicone for optimum durability. To cap it all off, Whitewall guarantees 75 years of colour brilliance with its prints.

The Imaging Warehouse › theimagingwarehouse.com › permajet.com

Established over 40 years ago, The Imaging Warehouse is renowned for its Nova Darkroom and Permajet brands – so, suffice to say, it has a foot in traditional and digital imaging camps. Seeing as film photography is enjoying a resurgence of interest, The Imaging Warehouse has film, processing kit, chemicals and darkroom hardware in its range to help get you in the game. On the digital end of the spectrum, inkjet printers from Canon and Epson are on offer, with media available from various companies – notably its own Permajet brand. The most recent addition to its inkjet media range is the Heritage family with five finishes featured: Baryta Rag 310, Etching Rag 310, Smooth Rag 310, Watercolour Rag 310 and Museum Heritage 310. All finishes are available in sheet sizes starting from A4 and roll sizes. Sample the delights of the range with an A4 Discovery pack; two sheets of each finish cost £9.49.

Innova Art › innovaart.com

Innova Art is a UK-based digital fine art paper brand offering a prodigious range of fine art, canvas and display products to satisfy all needs. One of many highlights in its line-up is the Innova Editions collection. The tagline ‘Traditional fine art meets digital innovation’ tells you what this selection of papers is all about. The surfaces were selected for their look, feel and archival qualities, as well as their abilities to produce awesome prints exhibiting vibrant colours, deep blacks and stunning midtones. Exhibition Cotton Gloss 335gsm is one of our favourites from the Editions stable; its crystal-layer coating technology delivers a crisp tonal range akin to traditional darkroom papers, while its acid- and lignin-free base gives archival- level permanence. It’s also OBA-free, so there’s no colour shift to the natural white base over time. It all adds up to an incredible printing paper – one of many from Innova Art – and its hefty cotton rag base gives your prints a luxurious feel.
