RESPONDING TO REMOTE REQUIREMENTS TSL Products has updated its R&D road map to respond to customer requirements centred around remote control of

system for some of its USP control panels, allowing users to control US hub and spoke installations from home. The company is testing prototypes in the lab and aims to roll them out to networks soon. TSL has also updated its audio monitoring offerings, including its SAM-Q platform, PAM-IP and MPA1 lines. TSL also has a new addition to the MPA1-MIX audio mixing range. The MPA1- MIX-V features a redesigned user interface in response to customer feedback and is available in SDI, DANTE, MADI, AES and analogue input formats. Reacting quickly to customer requirements TSL has added both in-band and out-of-band control to its PAM-IP audio monitoring products. The updated PAM-IP range has a number of in-band methods of controlling the system, including NMOS and API out-of-band. Users can also use GPIs and presets to control the PAM-IP.

KEEPING IN TOUCH Maintaining communications in a stable and reliable way has never been more essential. Solutions and services for broadcast and live event productions company, CP Communications, has recognised this and has been helping local organisations maintain communications with their communities throughout the Covid-19 crisis. Leveraging a special mobile journalism (MoJo) app developed by partner Mobile Viewpoint, local businesses, governments, houses of worship and non-profit organisations can now directly and cost efficiently live stream important services and messages to their customers and communities. “The ability to communicate important information rapidly and accurately regardless of the user ’s chosen technology or platform is paramount in these uncertain times,” said Kurt Heitmann, CEO of CP Communications. The company also plans to offer back-end services from at-home production facilities in Florida and New York to incorporate graphics, translations and other services to ensure messages reach the widest possible community audiences. “We have introduced this special service to help organisations deliver press

conferences, city council meetings, company announcements and worship services to their communities at a low cost and without technical burdens,” Heitmann added. The MoJo app has long been available to help journalists and content contributors cover breaking news, interviews and live events by turning smartphones and tablets into content acquisition systems. The system uses Mobile Viewpoint’s H.264 codec to encode live video and stream to multiple platforms, including social media outlets and control rooms. CP Communications has invited organisations to reach out for more information and help them quickly launch new streaming services. Please email CPsales@cpcomms.com for more information.
