PANTRY DELIGHTS Haslingfield has a charming new addition in the shape of The Little Pantry, a rustic deli serving homemade goodies and treats from local suppliers. Situated at 21 Church Street, it’s run by Caroline Howes: part of the team at the site’s old post, the Country Kitchen. She has overseen a new design, the introduction of bistro seating out front, and the revamped food offering. The shop has plenty to tempt for an on-the-go lunch; pick up delicious deli items such as coronation chicken and coleslaw, bread from Stir bakery or scotch eggs from the inimitable Kitsch Hen. For dinner, try homemade ready meals and tray bakes; plus sweet treats aplenty, whether you’re after a doughnut, macaron or made-to-order celebration cake – while non-food options include candles, cards and bouquets of fresh flowers. Regent Street’s chic Italian restaurant De Luca – a Cambridge favourite for over a decade – has reopened its rooftop dining area for the summer. With views across Parker’s Piece, it’s a hidden gem where you can snack in the sun or dine under the stars. Bursting with authentic fare, from arancini and antipasti, to fresh pizza and homemade pasta, there’s also a delicious line-up of cocktails. Opening hours are weather dependent.

3

WYFOLD VINEYARD BRUT 2016 , £32 . 99 A classy English sparkling wine, with rich apple, biscuit and honeyed citrus notes, and a very elegant length. Oxfordshire’s finest!
