Stoke College CAMBRIDGE

toke College is the educational antidote to a city hothouse school. Set in 29 acres of rural parkland, complete with its own frontage of the River Stour, Stoke College students achieve their academic best through inspirational teaching and excellent pastoral care. It’s an independent co-educational school with a unique approach to senior education, underpinned by passion, warmth and respect. Academically successful (recent examination results came out as 85% A*-B at A-level and 72% grades 5-9 at GCSE level, with graduates heading to Oxbridge, law and medical schools), Stoke College offers small class sizes, giving students individual attention, thus supporting excellent academic progress and ‘value- added’ attainment. We are proud that students at both ends of the academic spectrum exceed regional and national expectations. Years 7-9 are offered a broad curriculum, including two languages, drama, music, design and food technology. Our inspirational setting provides the perfect location for a range of team and individual sports, together with our annual festivals and events celebrated in the campus. Physical education is recognised as a key activity for good physical and mental health. Stoke College students take part in PE lessons to enhance sporting skills and ability, with games lessons featuring match fixtures in rugby, hockey, netball, football, cricket and more. The curriculum is further enhanced by our unique diploma programmes: the Senior School Diploma in Character and Resilience (years 7-11) and the Sixth Form Diploma in Global Competencies (years 12 and 13). Both diplomas have been professionally devised to develop leadership and teamwork skills, humour and
