The Cambridge Museum of Technology offers a unique opportunity to discover the city’s industrial heritage. “Our displays range frommassive steam engines, once used to pump Cambridge’s sewage, to fine scientific instruments,” says Pam Halls, curator. “We have family trails and interactive exhibits, as well as a programme of events and exhibitions. Check out our website for further information.” WHY WILL MY DOG LOVE IT? “Our canine friends are allowed in all areas, so you don’t have to leave anyone outside in the cold while the rest of the family are enjoying the displays,” comments Pam. “We also have water bowls placed around the site, as we know that museum visiting is thirsty work. At the end of your visit, our outdoor cafe is the perfect place to cadge for snacks!” You can also enjoy a run around on Stourbridge Common, followed by a pit stop at nearby dog-friendly pubs, such as The Plough in Fen Ditton, The Green Dragon, OtherSyde or the Fort St George.

Take a stroll in Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, practise tracking activities and doggy parkour skills in the grounds of Wimpole Hall, and splash about in the lakes at Milton Country Park.
