FUJIFILM X-T3 The Fujifilm X-T3 is a class-leading camera, that’s designed to deliver high performance, whatever the situation. At its heart is the world renowned back-side illuminated 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, working with the X-Processor 4 image processing engine. It is a camera designed to cope brilliantly with lighting conditions of all types, with a native ISO 160-12,800 range. Even at top speeds, image quality is clean, richly detailed, with lifelike colours.

FUJIFILM X100V Classically and beautifully styled, Fujifilm’s X100V is a wonderful, highly capable, premium compact camera. It features the same 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor seen in Fujifilm X Series cameras. Making the most of that world-renowned imaging unit is the fixed 23mm f/2 lens, that works in perfect harmony with an enhanced face/eye detection autofocus system.

what I’m doing. I use speedlights – either a single light or two in a clamshell set-up – to get a distinctive look. I might move them around a bit, pose them, and can spend ten to 15 minutes photographing – often with the XF23mm f/2 R WR lens. The project will be published/exhibited this autumn. My cameras are set up to shoot Raw and JPEGs, but I don’t do much editing, just crop. I love the colour output I get from my Fujifilm cameras. I like the dials, which makes sense to me, and their small form factor – so I can eat my ice cream and carry on shooting.

I’d often drag my photographer friends with me. I’ve met people shooting and on courses, like those run by StreetSnappers. I’m actually about to fly off to Lisbon, with nine photographers on a trip I’ve organised. The social side is a big part of it, but we learn from each other, offering help and support. My own camera skills are much better now, through this process. I have also learnt on workshops, via experimenting and experience. Lately, I have been doing a lot of street portraits as part of my Ardour street project. I see people I like the look of, chat to them and explain

XF23MM F/2 R WR This compact, fast aperture wide-angle lens is the ideal partner for X Series cameras when portability is key. It weighs just 180g, yet its features list includes silent autofocus, weather and dust resistance and, of course, high optical quality – thanks to its advanced optical design that includes two aspherical lens elements. It’s stylish, too.
