make solid choices for your children. But what about when it comes to yourself ? After the tumultuous times we’ve just traversed, now is the perfect opportunity to expand your horizons. Picking up a new skill, learning a language, or revisiting one of your favourite school subjects are all great choices. In fact, there’s nothing stopping you from doing it all in one go! Over at Cambridge Regional College (CRC), the options for furthering your skills and knowledge are countless. From gaining your Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), to completing a course in media makeup, there’s a myriad of opportunities. Many of the courses run in the evenings (as with CELTA), so you can fit them around your schedule, or there are some which run as one block during the weekend (as with media makeup). The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) at Madingley Hall goes a step further, offering fully catered, residential weekend courses, where you can stay over at the venue and fully immerse yourself in your subject of choice. With courses in everything from ceramics, dressmaking and life drawing, through to ballroom and Latin dancing, you can really explore your creative potential,

For culinary classes, Cambridge Cookery School offers a wide range of options, including pastry-making basics and fish butchery workshops, plus sessions to build your repertoire of plant-based and dairy-free recipes. Again, places tend to go quickly, so make sure to book on the website in advance to avoid disappointment! Also back on the scene this September is Adult Learn and Whether you’re looking to enhance your career, stimulate your mind, or work on physical wellbeing, the courses range from basic English and maths enhancement or foreign language learning, to DIY-style craft workshops and pilates – all overseen by well-qualified tutors.
