A new Ninja era
Atomos reimagines the five-inch field monitor with the ultra- connected, cloud-ready, codec-loaded Ninja TX T he brand new Atomos Ninja TX is not just an upgrade to the iconic monitor-recorder, but a complete reinvention to make it the most powerful and versatile version ever. Built for filmmakers who demand flexibility, speed and connectivity, the new Ninja TX delivers everything from 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connections to cloud workflows and ProRes Raw, all in a rugged, compact five-inch body. The chassis is lighter, stronger and thermally superior to keep things cool even during the hottest of shoots. Inside, it packs in pro-grade features previously reserved for larger models like the Shogun Ultra. It adds CFexpress Type B support for ultra-fast Raw video capture and enables direct recording to external USB-C drives, so it’s perfect for long-form shooting and high-speed workflows. The Ninja TX also sees the debut of a new Linux-based operating system that boots faster, runs smoother and supports over-the-air firmware updates. Every frame is monitored in stunning clarity via the five-inch, 1500-nit
touchscreen – 50% brighter than previous Ninjas – and backed by a full suite of pro- level monitoring tools. From waveform and RGB parade to EL Zone false colour and vectorscope, creators have precise control over image quality. But the real leap forward is in connectivity. The Ninja TX includes built- in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Atomos AirGlu timecode technology for rock-solid sync across multicamera set-ups. Whether on set or in the field, you can upload footage directly to Atomosphere, Frame.io or Dropbox, or stream it via NDI 6 or HX3. Every Atomos customer gets 20GB of free Atomosphere cloud storage. Unlike earlier models, the Ninja TX comes with all codecs pre-activated. It supports Apple ProRes, ProRes Raw, Avid DNx and H.265 right out of the box. It can handle 120fps in HD, 60fps in 4K UHD/DCI and up to 30fps in 8K, depending on camera output. Despite all this power, the Ninja TX runs cooler and quieter than any of its predecessors thanks to a totally redesigned internal layout. Three USB-C ports allow users to record, power and calibrate, and Atomos has developed a rugged new locking system for HDMI and USB-C cables – with accessories included for extra security on set. From corporate shoots and indie films to live production and run-and-gun YouTube content, the Ninja TX is a smart, portable, future-proof tool built for the demands of modern filmmaking. Whether you’re shooting Raw for ultimate quality or streaming to the cloud, this is the monitor-recorder that does it all for just £999 in the UK. For serious creators, the Ninja TX isn’t just an evolution – it’s a revolution.
