itself, then the beautiful countryside and landscaped parks, so we very much wanted to keep a natural, fresh, organic feel – and not go too glitz and glamour.” Elements of the outside are brought in with floral wallpapers and a colour scheme of greens, from restful sage to a richer, earthy tone in one of the bedrooms. Also appearing throughout are brass elements, which bring an on-trend touch of luxe to everything from cutlery and ornaments to light fittings. A design aspect Ella is most pleased with is the green-and-white striped ceiling in the ‘kids’ bedroom upstairs. “It’s definitely a feature that’s one of my favourites,” she enthuses. “I was so excited about it and it really works by tying everything together, complementing the simple black and white artworks.” The Snug downstairs introduces some drama – with a statement charcoal black wall and opulent mirrors – while upstairs, everything is soothing and bright. The master bedroom incorporates cherry blossom wallpaper and elegant cream panelling (as well as a swoon-worthy walk-in wardrobe), with carefully selected abstract artworks completing the feel. “We were very much looking for contemporary with the artwork,” comments Ella. “We had big walls to fill, but wanted to keep it relaxing – not too distracting – and went for pieces that marry

to expansive windows, the Villas at Knights Park are a dream of a blank canvas for an interior designer. It’s no wonder the team from Suna had so much fun creating the gorgeous show homes, which are poised and ready to give buyers a taste of life at this newly built Eddington development. “They’re large houses, so we wanted that grandeur and luxury style,” explains designer Ella Bartron. “But our main inspiration was the site and its surroundings. There’s Cambridge

with the colours and the rest of the scheme, bringing it all together.” Step out of the master bedroom and you’re greeted with another of Ella’s favourite bits – the vaulted ceiling above the stairwell, painted in a luscious, verdant green. “It works so beautifully as it keeps the walls light and bright, giving a feeling of space, but allowing you to have a pop of colour up there, which is great.” The Villas are part of Hill’s Knights Park collection of properties, located at Eddington. The show home opens on 10 July. Find out more at knightspark-eddington.co.uk
