HELEN CAMPBELL: My role was lead presentation director, working for BBC Sport and IMG. FEED: What was your role at the WWC? MARY KAY DONOVAN: During the tournament, I was booking manager for Fox Sports USA as a contractor. Fox Sports USA was a rights-holding broadcaster for the tournament. My responsibilities included administrative management of all our facilities and services requested from, and provided by, the host broadcaster at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and venues. I was also responsible for over 400 crew accreditation applications, as well as keeping tabs on all necessary work visa applications for Australia and New Zealand (submitted by the crew members). Lastly, I helped manage our IBC load-in and load- out truck bookings via the tournament’s online Master Delivery Schedule app. ERIN LASTÉ: My role at the WWC was infotainment graphics operator for AE Live, which provided content for the big screens across the ten stadiums right around Australia and New Zealand. Our comprehensive graphics package covered a wide variety of captions including team news, the match clock, live statistics, attendance figures and information such as substitutions, VAR checks or player bookings during games. CAROLINE RAMSAY: Working for NEP, during the tournament I was the project lead responsible for the team that delivered the broadcast technology solution for the event to the host broadcaster. This role involved content capture using IP trucks and IP flypacks at the venues in Australia and New Zealand, delivering signals to directors and production teams within four control rooms in NEP’s Andrews Hub in Sydney (AHS). SARAH BUTLER: I was recommended by one of the most incredible women in this industry, Jo Ormston, to be a part of IMG’s team for the tournament. They had won the contract to produce BBC’s coverage and they asked me if I would be the talent floor manager.
