FUJIFILM GFX100 II

LENS ROADMAP SUITS PRO USE One of the biggest bugbears for the latest crop of mirrorless cameras has been the limited availability of special-use lenses compared to DSLRs. While most manufacturers make the common primes and zooms, things like fisheye, fast super-telephotos and tilt/shift lenses are just not manufactured. Fujifilm is the first manufacturer to release tilt/shift lenses for its GFX range, and these will soon be followed by an ultra-telephoto prime and a powerzoom standard lens. The GF30mm f/5.6 T/S and 110mm f/5.6 T/S Macro are ideal for perspective correction in interiors and – in the case of the longer lens – product shots. These will soon be joined by a 500mm ultra-telephoto prime, equivalent to 396mm in the 35mm film format. This doubles GF lenses’ telephoto reach from 250mm to 500mm. And when fitted with a teleconverter, it extends to 700mm – the equivalent to 554mm. Also in the pipeline is a powerzoom that covers the standard focal range. Aperture, focus and zoom can be electrically controlled for smooth changes during filming. No prices or delivery dates have yet been set.
