Lighting expert Rosco offers an impressive DMG Dash Pocket LED kit, bringing a huge spectrum of colours to a portable, handheld unit. It uses the same six-chip LED set found in all of the company’s larger Mix lights. As such, the Dash can recreate more than 130 colours that match Rosco’s famous colour gels. In addition, it displays white in all colour temperatures and hues, plus colour matching to most popular light sources. Each kit ships with a complete set of magnetic beam-shaping accessories, including a flat diffuser panel, dome diffusion panel, eggcrate grid, and gel holder for additional Rosco gel or diffusers. It also comes with a light stand mount, powerful magnet mount and durable carrying case. The light measures just 128x80x28mm/5x3.1x1.1in and weighs 367g/0.8lb, despite being housed in a rugged, all-weather aluminium body. The Dash can pump out up to 320 lux at 1m/39in. On the rear, there’s a control panel with menu buttons, or it can be set via Bluetooth using the myMIX app.

Key accessories include a silicone, half globe diffuser that envelopes the whole LED and softens the light. The Pocket LED kit includes a case and USB-C charging cable for £219/$279. A Quad kit consists of four complete pocket kits, carry case, and Dash Link accessory to configure and mount the four lights together, for £990/$1250.
