For instance, dressing a bed with plump cushions, plush throws and linens in tonal colours can introduce the feeling of ‘hotel chic’. “Scattering around cushions in warm colours like mustard, deep green or berry is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to give your living room a quick and cosy update for the winter months,” says Debbie Leigh, design manager at Iliv. “Beautifully plush cushions can make a sofa or chair seem even more inviting, while using warm colours will give the room a pulled-together look.” Meanwhile, Neptune’s Autumn/ Winter 2024 collection focuses on layers of tantalising texture which invite touch. “To give rooms a curated feel, as if you have employed an interior designer, focus on texture and natural elements,” asserts

In order to add depth, I like to mix materials such as wool, linen and velvet. For lush layers, drape a chunky-knit blanket like our Hetton throw over a linen sofa and add some of our velvet Adeline cushions on top.” Finishing touches Shop wisely when it comes to the finishing touches, as the smallest details can make all the difference to creating an opulent scheme.
