CAMBSEDITION.CO.UK DECEMBER 2024 59 Four Cambridge schools are now offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for free. Since September, pupils at Girton Glebe Primary School have been following the Primary Years Programme (PYP), with the potential to pursue their journey at Impington Village College and Impington International College. Pupils with autism have access to study the IB at The Cavendish School from ages 7 to 14. “It’s incredible to be able to offer a free IB education to pupils in Cambridgeshire from as young as four all the way to the age of 18,” says Victoria Hearn, executive headteacher at Eastern Learning Alliance. “The IB not only delivers a robust academic education, but helps form well-rounded, principled and respectful individuals with the skills to excel in whichever pathway they choose to follow in their later lives.” For more information, visit girtonglebe.com Giving Bacc
