SPREAD THE CHEER

CHS GROUP The charitable housing association and social enterprise CHS Group has announced its fifth annual shoe-box appeal to ensure that young people supported by its services have a gift to open this Christmas time. Donations are open until 15 December and shoe boxes or gift bags filled with a range of gifts are welcomed. Simply deliver your package to a drop-off location or make a donation and the charity will make up a box for you. Find out more at justgiving.com/campaign/ CHS-Shoe-Box-Appeal

O CHRISTMAS TREE Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Celebrating 40 years of caring for those with advanced serious illnesses and life- limiting conditions, the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity will continue its popular Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme in 2023. Last year’s scheme raised over £62,000, 90% of which was donated to the charity, with the remainder going to another worthy local cause chosen by volunteers. In partnership with Just Helping, teams of volunteers will be collecting trees in Waterbeach 11-13 January 2024. Registrations close on 7 January, so to register your tree, visit arhc.org.uk/tree-recycling . Could you support the scheme this year? If you have a van or are willing to hire one and can spare a few hours to collect trees, the charity would love to hear from you! Email christmastrees@arhc.org.uk or call 01223 675888.

The amazing staff at your hospital are doing everything they can to prevent children from losing their parents to cancer and your donation could help keep families together for many Christmases to come. This year’s appeal will contribute to a host of improvements, from a new fusion biopsy machine to making the wards a more welcoming environment. Donate now so your local hospital can remain a leading centre of clinical excellence. Visit helpyourhospital.co.uk/ xmas2023 today.
