A SEASON FOR FEASTING At a time of year for fine food and frivolity, local retailer of premium produce The Gog shares what’s on the menu

THE GOG’S FESTIVE SPECIALITIES Award-Winning Beef Wellington For the first time, we are proud to offer our 2 Star Great Taste award- winning beef wellingtons, handmade on the farm. Enjoy grass-fed, centre- cut beef fillet wrapped up in English mustard, prosciutto and mushroom duxelles enriched with aged madeira. Munns Geese We are sourcing geese from Munns in Chatteris this year. George is a second- generation goose farmer, and takes great pride not only in farming, but conservation work and environmental protection. Geese are reared slowly, free range over eight acres of fenland pastures, before they are dry plucked and game hung for seven days. Sutton Hoo Chickens These chickens are slowly reared, free range over 40 acres of Suffolk meadows. On average, they are 25% older than a standard free-range chicken and live 70% longer than a standard indoor-reared bird. Free to peck, forage and graze in their natural habitat, their diet is free from antibiotics and hormones. We believe these factors contribute to a truly memorable chicken, whether for Christmas or any given Sunday! Gog Reserve Dry Aged Beef By the last weeks of November, our dry-aging fridge will be fit to burst with beef ready for Christmas orders. We select native British breeds including Aberdeen Angus, Hereford and British Blue, from farmers and suppliers who we know and trust. We then dry age on the bone for a minimum of 35 days. We believe this process is an essential step to provide you with the best Christmas beef possible. KellyBronze Turkeys Having reared these incredible turkeys for over 30 years, The Gog is the go-to supplier for the UK’s best turkey. As Jamie Oliver says: “KellyBronze turkeys are the best of the best, the most joyful treat. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without one.”
