GET SET FOR THE PETERBOROUGH CHASE Don’t miss out on the highlight of the season, a festive celebration of jumps racing at Huntingdon Racecourse

H untingdon Racecourse is looking forward to the much-anticipated return of the Peterborough Chase, a hallmark event in the jumps racing calendar on Sunday 10 December. With an electric atmosphere and heart-pounding races to thaw the chilliest of December afternoons, Trustatrader Peterborough Chase Day is unmissable. The highlight of Huntingdon’s season, the meeting presents a Sunday afternoon card of quality, headlined by the Grade Two Peterborough Chase. This year, the race is sponsored for the first time by Trustatrader, a partner of the Jockey Club, solidifying a commitment to horse racing.

As the last fixture of the year at Huntingdon, the racecourse will be

adorned with a festive atmosphere and will feature live music performances, creating the perfect backdrop for a day out with loved ones, ensuring an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all. The Trustatrader Peterborough Chase holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts, boasting a decades-old history. This prestigious event has witnessed some of the most iconic names in jumps racing, creating a roll of honour that echoes with the triumphs of legendary horses including Desert Orchid, Remittance Man, Best Mate, Monet’s Garden and Edredon Bleu, who won a record four times in succession at the turn of the century. Beyond the top-tier racing, racegoers get a chance to see plenty of Cheltenham Festival clues, too, with many contenders going on to races like the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March or the Marsh Steeple Chase at Aintree’s Randox Grand National Festival in April – as was proved by last year’s winner Pic D’Orhy. “We are thrilled to welcome racegoers and families once again to the Trustatrader Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon Racecourse,” says James Wilcox, GM at Huntingdon Racecourse. “This event not only celebrates the legacy of jumps racing
