Where lenses, for example, have almost unlimited lifespans if looked after correctly, the usable life expectancy for most batteries falls short of a decade. But this is being addressed. “PAG’s unique modular battery design allows electronics, output modules and certain plastic case parts to be reused, while expired lithium-ion cell packs are recycled,” says Czich. We also offer free-of-charge disposal and recycling of virtually any cine battery you have.” Bebob’s green practices are more extensive than most. “Respect for the environment has played an important role for us from the beginning, almost 30 years ago,” Erkelenz recalls. “Today, we are following a five-step programme to improve our processes and create sustainable production and recycling chains.
