explains. “If we take the 20.5-33.6v working range of the Alexa 35 as an example, this means that a Bebob B-Mount battery always provides at least 450W of power to the entire equipment. So, in the sense of power supply, our batteries are currently the most future-proof available. Also, by automatically switching between 12v and 24v, depending on the needs of each individual device, our B-Mounts reduce the number of different power systems one needs to have in stock or on-set.” For Core SWX, focus remains on the Apex 360 system, which seeks to extend the runtime of high-powered LEDs with onboard power. Comparable to Bebob’s leading batteries, Core’s 367Wh lithium-ion V-Mount packs output up to 24A continuously, leading to true product runtimes and, ultimately, smoother workflow for on-set creatives. The standard 14.8v APX-360V pack is also available as a higher-voltage 29.6v version, expanding the range of compatible LEDs. A selection of Core SWX’s products can be viewed at the upcoming BSC Expo. STAYING CONNECTED Usability remains important as ever – as illustrated by PAG’s most recent developments. The brand’s new MPL USB-C adapter can also be witnessed in person at BSC Expo, alongside a preview of the forthcoming MPL150V: a 150Wh V-Mount intelligent-linking battery. “These are the company’s first products to feature USB-C technology, now increasingly essential for portable power products,” Stefan Czich of PAG supplier, Aspectra, reveals. “PAG’s USB-C adapter allows filmmakers
to power essential production kit, such as laptops and phones, using 99Wh and 50Wh Mini PAGlink camera batteries. It features a USB-C PD 65W output for 5v, 9v, 12v, 15v or 20v devices, and quick- charge USB-C and USB-A outputs. The MPL150V battery features 5v, 9v and 12v USB-C output and a USB-C input, which enables

“By automatically switching between 12v and 24v, our B-Mounts reduce the number of different power systems required on-set” powering via a PD charger. PAG’s unique battery-linking technology allows other MPLV batteries that don’t have USB-C inputs to be charged when they are linked up to the MPL150V.” Long-term industry staple IDX has also placed real ingenuity into the connectivity of its most recently announced line-ups. The Zen line, which offers 98Wh and 150Wh batteries, mark the brand’s first step into three-stud products. The Duo- CP series – an update on popular previous offerings – features a suite of IDX’s most recent technology. D-Tap is now joined by D-Tap Advanced, as well as a USB-C port and intuitive battery management. Available in 97Wh/10A,
