More than one of Hawk-Woods’ flagship batteries is meeting the standard. The new BL-350 is designed with B-Mount for Alexa 35 – claiming the biggest capacity and longest runtime as a result of the most efficient cells in its class. It also delivers D-Tap and USB-C connectivity for camera-adjacent accessories. Then there’s the MXB- 880 for off-camera use. The scaled- down floor battery delivers 880Wh capacity at just 7.2kg in weight. Juice can flow in 14/24v dual voltage via one of four connectors. “Virtual production techniques have also become increasingly popular in the past year, allowing filmmakers to create complex visual effects in real time on- set,” Kinali adds. “These new technologies require high-capacity, high-performance battery systems.”
