Engineered for news studios, but adaptable enough for any production scenario, the Pedestal RP1 is a fully automated, free-roaming camera support system. When equipped with Blackcam’s Studio Remote Head and L1.6 Lift, it can handle a payload of 70kg with a total weight of 85kg. Designed with modularity in mind, the RP1 provides a solid foundation for robotic arms and towers, offering simple set-up as well
as either pre-programmed or real-time remote control. Operation is possible via IP interface, with optional manual control using ARRI Master Grips or the local joystick, allowing full flexibility for different studio set-ups. The control system is configurable for all varieties of Canon and Fujinon lenses. What’s more, it can be easily upgraded to include unique advanced collision protection. Rapidly gaining popularity, the Pedestal RP1 offers two Ethernet ports that provide tracking data and control including precise tracking data of lens position to rendering machines without requiring homing to special studio points.
