various individuals and events, from Michael Jackson in Leaving Neverland to the January 6 insurrection in Four Hours at the Capitol . “That film grew out of a previous project that never went into production,” says Reed of the latter. In summer 2020, the Amos team was researching recent Black Lives Matter protests – one of which turned deadly in Kenosha, Wisconsin, when 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people. “The best video of the protests and the shootings themselves was recorded by these young freelance videographers,” states Reed. “We thought that footage was great.” The same videographers attended the January 6 US Capitol attack, filming the mayhem as rioters stormed through Washington, DC. “Since we had existing relationships with all of them, they trusted us enough to send us their footage, with the understanding that we wouldn’t screw them over,” remarks Reed. “We immediately had a head start; that was the basis for Four Hours at the Capitol. ” Some of Reed’s finest achievements include other projects produced by Amos Pictures, from observational
