Founded in 1788, the Royal Masonic School for Girls is a prestigious independent day and boarding school in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. The school’s Great Hall, with its ornate plaster ceiling, is the heart of its daily activities, hosting assemblies and special events throughout the academic year. An L-Acoustics sound system was recently integrated to improve the hall’s acoustic capabilities, addressing the challenges posed by its highly reverberant environment. This followed the previous successful installation of an L-Acoustics A Series system in the school’s performance venue known as The Space. The school again selected L-Acoustics-certified provider Adlib. Senior application engineer at Adlib, Tim Robinson, explained: “The aim was to install a future-proof system that would provide accurate coverage throughout the space, adequate headroom and frequency response for media playback, as well as possible future uses as a performance space.” L-ACOUSTICS BOOSTS BOARDING SCHOOL
