CORPORATE CATERING

PRANA

Found on Mill Road, multi-award winning Indian restaurant Prana offers a combination of modern and traditional cuisine in a sleek,

contemporary setting. Its distinctive dishes, created using super-fresh produce, draw on inspiration from across India, ranging from classics to lesser-seen specialities. The eatery is a popular choice with companies looking for a perfectly spiced feast for their training days, team meetings and other corporate events, and can come to your place of work and host a buffet. Dishes are made by the chef at the restaurant itself, and a team will come and serve up everything on the day or alternatively, a traditional takeaway remains a popular option for offices, with Prana able to handle large orders for workplaces. The owner says the biggest crowd-pleasers tend to be classics (think samosas, bhajis and chicken tikka masala), but there’s also the ‘office jalfrezi’ (a slightly less hot but no less flavoursome take on the regular recipe). Any dish can be made vegan, and the restaurant boasts a slick, computerised label system so there’s no confusion over what’s what – and who ordered it – when it arrives.

A Cambridge institution that needs no introduction, Fitzbillies might just be our city’s most famous supplier of baked goods. As well as serving up brunches, sandwiches, cakes and world-beating syrup buns from both Trumpington Street and Bridge Street, Fitzbillies will also deliver breakfast to your office. “They’re often ordered as a staff perk,” explains owner Alison Wright. “For instance, one company gives its staff breakfast from Fitzbillies on Monday mornings to get the week off to a good start. We supply a box of breakfast pastries and granola and yoghurt pots, including banana muffins, vegan lemon and blueberry muffins, and croissants filled with parma ham and taleggio, for staff to help themselves. We also supply cake selections, usually ordered as Friday afternoon teatime treats. One customer orders a selection of seasonal cakes on the last Friday of the month as a staff treat. As lots of the people who work in offices around Cambridge are already Fitzbillies customers and love the cakes, managers know it works really well as a staff reward to add some fun to the office day.” FITZBILLIES
