Every year, the filmmaking industry continues to shock and amaze with unique products. These awards celebrate the latest cutting-edge innovations that might not have turned heads in the market yet, but are worthy of being honoured for their technology. Or, just howmuch of a splash their arrival has made. It’s been an incredible time for new camera launches, as the spec seems to grow higher than ever. In our Launch of the Year category, eight of the nominees are new cameras that deserve recognition. Sony is well represented, with the A1 mirrorless and FX6 cinema cameras, as well as the FX3 mirrorless/cinema cam.
