BEST FOOT FORWARD MODISH

ALL ABOARD!

This beloved family attraction will celebrate 60 years of creating special memories aboard the Audley End Miniature Railway. Lord Braybrooke first established the attraction in 1964 due to his passion for steam trains. He opened the miniature railway to the public to provide entertainment for visitors of Audley End House next door. The past 60 years have seen the Woodland develop a vibrant offering, from picnics under the trees and teddy bear sightings in the woods to adding seasonal wonder along with fairies and elves – enchanting children of all ages. @audleyendminiaturerailway audley-end-railway.co.uk AUDLEY END MINIATURE RAILWAY

Modish was launched almost 17 years ago, first in Saffron Walden, with the Cambridge shop on Green Street joining a few years later. Owner Sarah Decent prides herself on hunting down stylish shoes for happy feet. She’s helped in this quest by the fact that her feet are size 4 – aka sample size in the women’s shoe world – meaning Sarah can try on every pair she sees to check the fit is spot on! The range of styles is wide too, from major brands such as Geox, Skechers and Fly London, alongside many niche European lines hard to find in the national chains (some of which are exclusive to Sarah in the UK). So, if your toes complain when you slip on something gorgeous, or you’re fed up with run-of-the-mill high-street shoes, make Modish your first port of call. @modishloveshoes | modishonline.co.uk

CHEF’S KISS

Cambridge Cookery School & Cafe – established 15 years ago by Tine Roche – has been an early champion of local ingredients and sustainable cooking. The school offers a range of classes, an enthusiastic crew and private events delivered by a highly experienced and friendly Cordon Bleu team. It is a hugely popular weekend destination and daily hub for people on the south side of the city centre. Dishes range from freshly baked cinnamon buns, Turkish eggs or smoked salmon combos to salads and light dishes – all made by the team daily. Dog owners will also be pleased to know the cafe welcomes dogs both outside and in! @ccscafe_ | cambridgecookery.com Cambridge Cookery School
