Cambridge Travel Festival

A date for all travel lovers to jot down, Cambridge Travel Festival will be making its debut at the Guildhall on 29 and 30 November. The event will bring together inspiring speakers, a travel photography gallery, masterclasses and representatives from destinations both global and regional – all under one roof. Experts will be on hand to provide plenty of ideas and practical advice for your next experience. “Travel seemed like a missing part of Cambridge’s thriving festival scene. We plan to fill that gap with this event,” claims the festival’s organiser Byron Shirto. “It’s not just for armchair travellers – we want to inspire people to get out and experience places near and far. Travel can be a force for good, having a positive impact on visitors and the host communities they interact with; it’s a win-win.” Visitors will be able to see the winners and runners-up of the World Travel Photography Awards 2024 and learn about capturing great images themselves. East of England residents can enter the Cambridge Travel Festival Photo Competition and be in with a chance to win some great prizes.
