HAWK-WOODS Hawk-Woods displayed its newly released B-Lok batteries for the Arri Alexa 35 – mainly the BL-350, which has the biggest capacity in the industry, multiple outputs, a full suite of safety features, straight 26v with 15A output and a drop-resistant build. This is simply the best all-rounder battery in its class. Hawk-Woods also showcased its flagship floor battery, the MXB-880. This is dual-voltage (14-28v), features multiple XLR outputs, is drop resistant and weighs in at only 7.2kg – it’s the lightest floor battery in its class with the biggest capacity, and can easily power your complete set-up for a whole day. IDX IDX Technology Europe debuted the new SBU-PD battery range. Those familiar with IDX SBU batteries will know about the features available – however this range has been refreshed to include a USB-C PD socket, which allows charging and discharging. PANTHER The Panther S-Type Dolly made its first appearance at BSC Expo. It combines the advantages of different dolly concepts, featuring both scissor-style arms and an adjustable centre column. Powered by an electro-mechanical drive system, it’s the first dolly of its kind. RED The Red V-Raptor 8K S35 made its debut. It boasts the same spec as the Red V-Raptor Rhino, except the latter is a limited-edition, grey version with the Wildlife Society of Filmmakers logo on
its latest kit form, enables you to quickly assemble an array of Vortexes to create your own large light source – the only limit on size is your ability to lift the rig. CVP CVP paraded an enormous display of innovative production solutions at this year’s expo. This included a virtual production zone, the iconic lens bar and a first-ever demo of the MYT Works Opti- Glide Compact. FUJIFILM Visitors to the Fujifilm stand were treated to a raft of great products. The Fujinon HZK25-1000mm illustrated its impressive broadcast and cinematography capabilities, while Frame.io-compatible Camera to Cloud technology for the X-H2S was demonstrated live. As the only mirrorless with such innovative functionality, it wasn’t one to miss. Finally, the Fujinon Premista PL mount series was available to view alongside Panasonic’s AK-PLV100 camera.

Three lightweight and powerful DMG Maxi lights can be daisy-chained together and attached to the Triple Yoke accessory to create an ultra-bright light source with full- spectrum colour rendering that’s easy to control on-set. SONY Visitors experienced the Venice 2 camera working in harmony with Sony Crystal LED panels as part of a complete virtual production system. Specifically developed for mixed-reality filming, ‘these Crystal LED panels offer exceptional colours, resolution and HDR capability, and a pixel density far superior to conventional LED array systems’, Sony says.
