APUTURE Aputure’s Infinibar is an adaptable RGBWW LED. It’s a different take on tube lights – in that it’s not a tube, but a bar. The difference is that they can seamlessly stack with no space between them. What’s more, cinematographers can use a range of mounting positions – inverted, triangle or hexagonal, among others – to create a large, clean light source. The pixel bars are available in 1, 2 and 4ft. ARRI Arri lined up its latest camera and lighting products at BSC Expo, including the Arri Orbiter plus accessories like the Orbiter Docking Ring and the Orbiter Projection Optics 25° and 35°.
AVENGER BSC Expo was the UK trade show presentation debut of the Avenger Buccaneer. The heavy-duty cine lighting support was created following demands from the industry to provide a low- loading-height, TÜV-certified wind-up stand that achieves a maximum height of 3m/9.84ft. With an 80kg/176.3lb max payload, it can support the industry’s leading lights, and is designed to improve safety on-set by reducing the chance of injury from heavy manual lifting. Avenger offers one of the industry’s largest ranges of TÜV-, CE- and UKCA- certified grip and support equipment on the market. This certification offers a guarantee to the user that the product has been thoroughly tested by an impartial external body, ensuring they will meet stringent safety guidelines that protect everyone on-set. BETTERIES Berlin-based start-up Betteries showcased its sustainable, mobile, modular power systems. The 48v Betterpack, with its 2.3kWh capacity and 2.6kW continuous power output, can be stacked to provide up to 6.9kWh energy and 5kW power. The Betterpack is the central building block of an entire range of extraordinarily flexible, silent and emission-free AC and DC power solutions.
CHIMERA Chimera displayed its handcrafted Octaplus 2 Lightbank, made with its own proprietary textiles and offered in a standard heat version for strobe, or high- heat for continuous light. The Octaplus 2 features a silver interior and aluminium poles, and comes with a removable inner baffle, full diffusion front screen and storage sack. Octaplus Lightbanks are compatible with most fixtures supported by Chimera’s line of Octaplus speed rings. CREAMSOURCE Creamsource demonstrated the enhanced effects and creativity of its Framesync software within the CreamOS firmware, available on both the Vortex8 and Vortex4.
