WHO’S UP FOR FUN? Keep the kids entertained this half-term holiday with a mix of games, creative activities and educational options

1 Tour museums at twilight for illuminated adventures this half-term, 17-23 February, from nighttime nature hunts to torchlit trails through the galleries. Organised by the University of Cambridge Museums, the 11 participating museums include Cambridge University Botanic Garden, the Fitzwilliam, the Museum of Zoology, Whipple Museum of the History of Science and the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences. For full dates and venues, visit museums.cam.ac.uk/theme/twilight 2 Discover space During half-term, Cambridge Science Centre in Cambridge Science Park will be open daily from 15 to 23 February, presenting inspiring science- led activities on the theme of space. There will be a special Moonshot show twice daily, hands-on exhibits and space-themed lab activities. The team will also be taking part in Twilight at the Museums with a session on 19 February. Activities on offer include kin-ball, cricket, netball, panic pin, circus skills, mask making, finger puppets, yoga, minute to win it, escape rooms, code cracker and ball sports. During half-term, choose from taster sessions in felting, printing, glasswork and weaving. Courses are led by experts and introduce young people to pro tools and techniques. Courses are based in Linton; email cambridgeartmakers@gmail.com 5 Scale new heights Climbing is perfect for improving strength, resilience and confidence. This half-term break, Clip ’n Climb has 24 climbing challenges to suit all abilities from age 4+, and parents are encouraged to have a go too. Sessions are 90 minutes, including a safety briefing.
