The V-Raptor’s 35.4-megapixel CMOS sensor can shoot 8K large format or 6K Super 35. Most interesting is the price, which undercuts not only similar high-end cameras from rivals, but also Red’s DSMC2 series. Priced at £25,320/$24,500, it’s around half of Red’s 8K Ranger Monstro. That’s not what many would count as modest, but is significantly less than other flagship Reds, and offers a glimpse into the future of the iconic Californian brand.

Edit films on superfast virtual workstations using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, for example. It’s a modern way to access the best computers, without huge upfront cost.
