Delkin’s new Black cards are available in 80GB and 160GB – with an 880MB/s maximum read speed. The £209/$195 80GB version can write at 730MB/s, while the £399/$429 160GB card manages 790MB/s. Footage up to 8K at high frame rates and bit rates are standard in these cards, which have been tested in the Sony A1, A7S III, A7 IV, FX6 and FX3. Angelbird’s pair of AV Pro CFexpress Type B media cards support 8K Raw video, but offer different speeds and sizes – despite both costing £186/$180. The SE model comes in 512GB size, while the faster SX is 160GB. The AV Pro CFexpress SE has a sustained write speed of 800MB/s, while the SX version is 1480MB/s; both have the same maximum read speed of 1785MB/s. Lexar’s new Professional CFexpress Type B Diamond card sets a new high for the brand in terms of pace, as it reaches read speeds of up to 1900MB/s to accelerate post-production workflow. And its write speed of up to 1700MB/s is ideal for the latest crop of memory-hungry cameras, as it can capture Raw 8K, 6K and 4K video with ease. There is a minimum sustained write speed of 400MB/s, too. It’s also backwards compatible with select XQD cameras, as long as they have a firmware upgrade to make them recognise CFexpress media.
