Portable motion control for £20,000
Teleprompter specialists Autocue and Autoscript showcased complementary innovations at IBC 2025 that redefine the limits of speed, flexibility and user control in professional prompting. Leading the way is the Autocue Pioneer series, a new line of customisable prompting solutions designed for speed and simplicity. Featuring an adjustable mounting kit for fast set-up and precise balancing, the Pioneer delivers smooth operation across news, broadcast and live events. These high-brightness monitors housed within robust metal enclosures remain visible in all lighting conditions and support a wide range of inputs. The system can be expanded with tally, time and talent feedback accessories for a complete workflow. Alongside this, Autoscript Voice brings advanced voice automation to the flagship WinPlus-IP prompting software. Powered by intelligent speech recognition, Voice enables presenters to control scripts hands-free, cueing content and scrolling text naturally using only their voices. Prices have not yet been set, but there is currently a free trial of the Pioneer software. PROMPT AND CIRCUMSTANCE
A lightweight, travel-ready motion control system designed to bring high-end camera movement within reach of indie crews has been unveiled by Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), a brand owned by Nikon. Weighing in under the standard airline luggage limits and split into just three cases, the Cinebot Nano delivers professional motion control and supports up to 7kg/15.4lb payloads, offers a 1m/39in reach and can be mounted on tripods, vehicles or suspended upside down. Available on pedestal or track, where it can travel at 1m per second, the Nano adapts to tight studios, product shoots or dynamic location work. At its core is MRMC’s new Flair Lite software, which strips away complexity for fast, intuitive control, while Push Moco enables quick keyframed moves on the fly. With prices starting from £20,000 in the UK, the Cinebot Nano makes professional motion control more affordable. mrmoco.com
