FEED Summer 2023 Web

COUNTRY: Australia STARTED: 2020 SHOTSTACK

What’s your origin story? Shotstack was founded in 2020 by us, Jeff Shillitto and Derk Zomer. We brought extensive engineering experience working for leading companies including News Corp, Uber and The Iconic to build technology that enables developers to edit videos at scale, programmatically. This removes the need for organisations to develop their own software and manage servers, empowering them to create, edit and distribute thousands of bespoke, data- driven videos in minutes. It’s a real game changer for both creating efficiencies and powering creativity. Our customers use Shotstack to do everything, from applying watermarks at scale to creating personalised lead generation videos, through to their own video editing platform and even avatars. The options are endless with what you can create using Shotstack. What is the company working on right now? We are continually innovating and developing our products, recently launching a studio that allows customers, developers – and anyone else – to easily build their own video templates. And we’ve launched a new API, Create, that allows developers to bring assets such as stock footage, audio and generative AI into video creation, taking what you can create with video, at scale, to a whole new level. What is the next step for the company? In a word, growth. We’re lucky enough to have already worked with the world’s leading organisations including Spotify, Ikea, Twitter and Randstad, and can’t wait for more companies to discover and take advantage of our technology. Video is the number one communication channel for most businesses and we are continually excited by our customers’ ideas for creating with Shotstack. We are always happy to talk with anyone interested in finding out how to build bespoke, data-driven videos at scale, no matter if they are a developer or from a different department. What one thing does the company need most? We are always looking for organisations to partner with, both to strengthen our business and exceed customer expectations. We partner with organisations including AWS and Mux, and have integrations in place with Zapier and Make, along with a host of creative, solutions and tech partners. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss a potential partnership.
