For professional filmmakers or those starting out on the ladder, these awards are for you: a chance to have your work recognised and celebrated. Entrants can be individuals or part of a larger team. Simply send in the link to your chosen entry online or submit work directly. We aim to streamline the process, eliminating the need to create and shoot bespoke new content. However, there is also an open category where anything goes. During the contest, which runs until 15 May for entries, Pro Moviemaker will shine a spotlight on some of the entries deserving special mention. In this issue, we showcase excellent examples from the commercial, documentary and editing categories. The awards will be judged by a panel of experts on idea and final execution. Originality, creativity and excellence are what’s important, not how many views the piece has had.
